Morus Trento DOC Riserva 2011
Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes are cultivated high in the hills on the slopes of Mount Baldo, at an altitude between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, in the areas of the municipalities of Crosano, Cazzano and Castione.
The must obtained after a first light pressing of the grapes undergoes a secondary fermentation on its lees in the bottle, and there it remains to rest for at least 84 months. Once the first alcoholic fermentation is completed, a malolactic fermentation is favored in order to give the wine increased softness and complexity. After a refinement period in big wooden vats, it follows the bottling for the secondary fermentation on the lees.
This sparkling wine exalts all the characteristics and complexity of Morus. The most important sparkling wine amongst those produced by the winery, Morus TrentoDOC Riserva is also a sincere expression of mountain vineyards. Its foam is creamy with fine and continuous perlage while its color is straw yellow with golden reflections. A classy wine, fresh, soft and almond-finished, with
aromas of bread crust and golden apple.
It is recommended to combine with appetizers and cold cuts with good fatness, shellfish and mature cheese. Excellent throughout the meal.
The wine should be served at a temperature of 8 degrees. Alcohol content 12,5% Vol
